Groove Theory

Groove Theory is a hip-hop dance crew dedicated to learning and performing the dance element of hip-hop culture. We study the foundations of various street styles including (but not limited to) breaking, waacking, popping, locking, house, and Chicago Footwork. We also help members apply these skills in cyphers, battles, and performances. Our main goal is not only to improve ourselves as dancers but also to spread awareness and share the history and culture of hip-hop in its true form. Groove Theory will hold one virtual practice a week, provide virtual resources for all members, and host professional led workshops during the academic quarter.
